DIY Cupid's Arrow Craft Image

February is a month for hearts, flowers, candy, and red everywhere you look. It’s also a great time for crafts! While the kiddos are constructing their Valentine Boxes and signing their cards, you can get in on the crafting fun making Cupid’s Arrows to decorate your home! Head on down to Jo-Ann Fabrics at Shackleford Crossing to get your supplies.

What you’ll need:

  • Wooden arrows

  • 3 Cans of Spray Paint (more or less depending on your preferred color scheme)

  • 1 Packet of DCWV 12”x12” Premium Stack papers

  • 1 Packet of DCWV 12”x12” Watercolor Stack papers

  • 1 x-acto knife

  • Metal Straight edge

  • Scissors

  • Sandpaper

  • Glue for paper/Mod podge

  • Sponge brush

How to craft it:

  1. Spray paint your arrows whatever color you choose. Let them dry.

  2. Sand down the edges with sandpaper to make the arrow look a little worn.

  3. Select a patterned paper for each end of the arrow.

  4. Cut paper out to cover the ends of the arrow. You can do this by laying the paper face up on arrow end and crease paper around it. Remove paper and cut out shape.

  5. Place glue onto the ends of the arrow.  Smooth paper onto the wet glue.  Allow to dry.

Hang these on the wall for Valentine’s day, or keep them up all year as a trendy wall accent! Shop Jo-Ann Fabric at Shackleford Crossing for materials. Click here to see the Cupid’s Arrow craft video.
